I’ve been waiting on this one for a while and I was not let down. Non-stop action throughout. The only bad part is I’m going to have to sit and wait an entire month for the next issue.

I was really surprised to see Hulk make such short work of Blackbolt and Ironman, considering that they are some of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. *Ironman even dons a new suit to battle the Hulk. I’m always a fan of Ironman suits, but I thought this one was a bit too much. It made Ironman big and bulky like the Hulk… *

And who is this Sentry fellow, who is supposedly the most powerful character in the Marvel Universe? I’ve never even heard of the guy before World War Hulk #1. I haven’t really been keeping up with comics for years now, but you would figure someone so badass would play a more prominent role in Civil War.

My only complaint about #1 was that it was way too short, but I can see that being a common theme for the rest of the series. I just can not get enough of the “Hulk Smash!” action. I’m definitely on Team Hulk. I know that ultimately there will be some sort of peaceful resolution… but for once in a major Marvel crossover, I can’t imagine what it would be. If Marvel cops out and does some sort of reality time travel bullshit I will never buy one of their books again.

Now for some random thoughts:

+ Am I the only one who thinks Amanda Beard is unattractive? True, she has that dynamite swimmer’s body, but she’s a total butterface. I can think of at least 5 hotter female athletes off the top of my head. Hmmm… that wouldn’t make a bad post and I’m sure it would be dugg to hell and back since those digg.com folks love “top” lists. At any rate, she’s in Playboy this month and I saw the pictures. Not impressed at all.

+ R.I.P. Mr. Wizard. I could not get enough of his show when I was a kid, even if I had to wake up at 5 a.m. to watch it. My favorite experiment was the egg in a jar. You can even watch some kids doing it today.

+ Spurs won again. I thought the Cavs would at least win 1 game, but things don’t look so good for Lebron and Co… Oh, and if one more shitty blogger makes a comment about how Varejao is Sideshow Bob… well… I am going to send them an angry email and tell them to come up with something original.
