Rome: S2E8
|
I can’t believe that this episode was so bad… just kidding, it was awesome. |
I just finished watching this week’s Rome, and man, was it fucking intense. I love the fact that every episode of Rome is so action packed and that there’s no filler. I wished more shows would do the same. It is a shame that it’s coming to an end. First the OC now Rome. Pretty soon I won’t have anything to watch…
But yeah, let’s take a look at some of my favorite highlights from this week. As usual, spoiler spoiler spoiler rockin’ every where, rockin’ everywhere, so if you haven’t watched it, don’t read past this sentence.

Pullo’s wife is poisoned by the sexy slave whore woman whose name I have forgotten. I really liked Pullo’s wife too. She was very likable and I would have liked to see Pullo and her settle down to a nice little farm in the country. You know what this means though… Pullo is about to fuck some shit up!

Octavian takes Golem as a wife.
Also, he and Marc Antony have their final fallout and Antony has to leave for Egypt. I was kind of upset when they switched Octavians, but this new guy has really grown on me. Octavian also puts his mother and sister on house arrest.
Another thing, I’ve read up on all of the history and back story behind Rome, and I know how all this is going to end, but every time something happens I’m still surprised and excited. But then again, I’m still surprised and excited whenever I watch porn and I usually know how the majority of porn clips end. (Facial, swallow, cream pie, or body shot.)

Marc Antony promises Atia that he’d send for her. I really don’t like Atia, but you could really feel how much Antony and Atia love each other in this seen. If Pullo’s wife’s death pushed me to the brink of tears, this was what pushed me over the edge. Yeah, so what if I cried while watching Rome. Big whup, want to fight about it?

Another great scene (see I told you, this episode is just chock full of them). Vorenus’s daughter confesses to betraying him; prompting Vorenus to choke the shit out of her. It was pretty hard to watch, note quite as bad as the torture scenes, but I still winced a little.
Man I must sound like a complete vagina. Crying and wincing?! What sort of man am I?
Vorenus realizes that he can’t stay in Rome so he hands over control of the mafia or whatever the fuck he’s in charge of to Pullo and follows Marc Antony to Egypt. You know what this means… Vorenus is about to fuck some shit up!

Pullo and the guy that betrayed Vorenus meet and decide to make up. After a nice conversation about the latest spices from the Orient, the two start making out.

Not really. Pullo rips out this other guy’s tongue with his teeth. I was both crying and wincing at the same time here, but only for a second, because a wild melee broke out between Pullo’s gang and the other guy’s.

The episode ends with Marc Antony going to Egypt, setting up what is to be one of the greatest love stories of all time. (I highly doubt that that is what is going to happen in this series though.)
With only 2 episodes left, you know some serious shit is about to go down. Vorenus in Egypt with Antony. Pullo… uh… the Tony Soprano of the ancient Roman world. Octavian on the warpath. It’s going to be interesting to see how all this ends.
