A random post about konton turning 6 and other things that have been on my mind, i.e. furries.

I can’t believe it’s only Tuesday, because I am ready for the weekend. I attended a wedding this weekend (which was phenomenal). The only downside was that I drove 9 hours there and then another 9 back. By myself. Being alone for that long of a period gave me a lot of time to do some self reflection and I realized that I already bored of my current situation/job/etc. and I need something new to reinvigorate my life. I think you know what I’m talking about. Furries.

Also, my prior website, now most awesome forum on the internet, konton turns 6 tomorrow. What started out as just a small personal site grew into a huge online community, and then into a small forum of dedicated members. I’ve tried to resurrect konton as it was several times, but I just could not capture the “magic” that had been there before. I also think that it works better as a small site because people keep coming back to it over and over.

For all purposes, popho is just a continuation of konton. It’s been going strong over the past few months and I only see it getting better. It has hit records for hits this week and has even starting making some money. The only area of popho that I’ve been disappointed in is the lack of comments… but I realize that will come with time. I mean, it took konton nearly a year before it had a regular user base.

Now for some random thoughts:

+ When I originally typed up this post it was really long but for some reason the servers died on me and I lost 75% of it. Don’t you just hate it when shit like that happens?

+ I want to get pumped for the Cavs-Spurs series, I really do. However I lost all interest in the NBA playoffs during the last round (which was a shame because apparently Lebron put on a show for the ages). I know that I can’t completely dismiss the Cavaliers, but it’s hard not to when their up against Duncan-bot and the machine-like Spurs. I think San Antonio takes it in 5.

+ Death Note has gotten completely horrible. I realize that many of you guys gave up on the series already, but I watched episode 33 with full intentions of reviewing it. I quickly gave that idea up when I realized that it was pretty much pointless to do so because the show makes no sense.

+ One thing I am pumped up for is Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. I do wonder why Capcom would go through the trouble of making new sprites and not making Street Fighter 4. I mean, it’s been nearly a decade since Third Strike. Come on Capcom, if you can release Megaman Battlezone Soccer Kubakke 13 or BioHazard Delta Attack Lightgun, you can surely slap together a development team for SF4.

+ I really liked last week’s Sopranos. One of the best episodes ever. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and I can’t wait to see how it all ends. I’ve noticed an almost Lost-eque fervor on the internet forums and blogs regarding the series finale. As for my prediction, I think Tony is imprisoned and his family dies. I hope I am wrong, but I don’t see it ending any other way.

+ I refuse to watch the new Transformer movie when it comes out. Instead, I will be going back through the old Marvel Transformer series. It was the first comic book that I collected. A lot of the older issues are very… Marvel 80ish. You know what I’m talking about. Editor’s notes every other panel referencing things that happened in the prior issue, that “gee-willickers” sense of humor, and lots of ads for Dungeons and Dragons. They’re still fun to read and I can’t wait to get to the issues by Wildman.
