Leah Dizon: L.O.V.E. U
Apologies for never updating popho guys and gals. I could give you a million excuses as to why I haven’t written anything for this place when it only takes me about 2 minutes to hammer out an “article” or “review.” I realize that there are about 30-40 regulars around these parts, but it’s really hard to get motivated to write something when 90% of your internet traffic comes from google searches for “Erin Esurance drag queens.”

We have had kind of a love/hate relationship relationship here on popho, as in we love to look at her, but really hate the Japanese pop music she’s been making. Seriously, does anyone out there actually watch a Leah Dizon video on anything other than mute? I doubt that even the most hardcore Leah Dizon fans could listen to any of her music for longer than 30 seconds without committing wanting to commit sepuku. (Check out old Leah Dizon video reviews here and here.

L.O.V.E. U centers around a doe-eyed Leah Dizon, who’s so smitten with her love that she’s late for her math test and clouds her judgment so much that she thinks skin tight purple pants are a good idea. Sorry Leah, unless your name is Diamond Dallas Page, you’re not pulling off this fashion faux pas.
Leah gets scolded by her professor for being late, but is able to take the test. The whole entire time she’s distracted though and ends up just doodling all over her test papers. Lots of hearts and kittens are drawn, and it kind of ends up looking like this:

There are a couple of notable dance numbers in this video. One involves Leah, in the afore mentioned purple pants, with a group of generic looking girls. The other scene involves Leah wearing a latex cheerleader outfit. At least I think it’s latex. The only place I could find this video was youtube. There were some parts were I had to really squint to make sure it was Leah Dizon, and not Lina Dison.

At the end of the video, Leah wakes up and realizes that she had fallen asleep and not answered her test at all. She crumples the test sticks it in her purse. Way to take that zero Leah. it’s a good thing you’re only partially Asian. My parents would have disowned me if I brought home a zero. Shit, they nearly disowned me for bringing home a B+ one time. True story.
Also this song lasts FOR-FUCKIN’-EVER. I don’t know how or why consider that there are only 20 words in the whole song. And that’s counting L, O, V and E as words.
After Koi Shiyou, I thought the next Leah video would be great… but I was disappointed by L.O.V.E. U. Definitely a step back in the wrong direction. It is far to generic and nothing really stands out.
