Leah Dizon: Koi Shiyou
|
Good News: New Leah Dizon video! Bad news: Not a leaked sex tape. |

You gotta admit, it is kind of crazy when someone is so good looking that a Japanese businessman would take the time and effort to try to transform you into a pop star in the land of the rising sun despite the fact that you don’t speak a lick of Nihongonese (the only word I retained from 2 years of taking Japanese language lessons, and I am probably still way off…). Has there been anyone else in history that this has happened to? No seriously, that’s not a rhetorical question. I guess when you’re the hottest woman on Earth, people are willing to take a chance on you.

Koi Shiyou is the second video from everyone’s favorite import model turned Japanese idol. If you remember, I was not impressed by Leah’s first video, so I was looking forward to her next one because I knew it would be better. And let me tell you, it definitely is.
Musically… well… I love Leah, but this track sounds like all the members of Morning Musume got together and shat in a big pot, mixed it up with clay, made a flat disk out of it and put it in a record player. (Actually I think that that’s the plot to the last Japanese porno movie I watched, Discuscatu Jammu.) There’s some sparse Engrish throughout, but nothing memorable enough for me to poke fun at.
But the video, oh man, this is what we all came to see. Leah’s all hot and bubbly, not like her last video. There’s no subtlety about it this time around, the directors know what we want and that’s plenty of Leah flesh. She’s wearing a variety of boner-inducing outfits and shaking her ass and kicking real high. That skirt she has on is unbelievably short. Leah’s friends in this video are fantabulous as well.

The dancing in this video is really good, I mean really good, for an Asian pop video. I think that this is because Leah’s from the states where girls learn how to booty pop and grind before they enter middle school. Even though things have improved over the years, most dancing in Asian videos is really stiff and awkward and quite frankly, I get kind of embarrassed watching it.
I’m not saying that Koi Shiyou is the greatest video out there, but it’s a vast improvement on its predecessor. By the way, does anyone know what koi shiyou means? I tried to use a couple of websites and the best thing that I could come up with is “please me with leaves” and that couldn’t be right. Or could it…
