Teru Mikami is a snappy dresser. [spoilers]

It’s been a while, but here’s another Death Note synopsis. With only 5 episodes left to go, I’m sure there’s going to be a ton of crazy shit going down. I just have no clue what, but I bet Light dies at the end. He just has to. Kind of like how Tony Soprano is going to die in a couple of weeks…

Oh, and since I’ve got a couple of complaints, I’m tagging spoilers from now on. Honestly I should have always been doing it, and I felt really bad after I ruined a couple of tv shows for some people.

Also, a few people sent me this since I really like the Hills. Heidi and Spencer getting engaged. I give the engagement 1 year and I bet they don’t even get married.

In the first half of the episode, we get introduced to the new “Kira”, Teru Mikami. Normally I would be pissed when there are only a few episodes left in a series and a new character is introduced, like that ice cream guy who tricks Kaitlin Cooper into kissing him, but Mikami seems like he will make things interesting once again. So far Near and Melo have been complete busts and makes me wish that L didn’t die the cheesiest death of all time.

Add to that the fact that he’s a no hold barred prosecutor. Being a barrister myself, he gets major points for this. I also dig his steez. I’m going to have to copy it. It’ll be the only outfit I can wear to work AND Anime Weekend Atlanta.

We also get introduced to Light’s busty ex-girlfriend turned reporter. I wasn’t paying attention to the plot at this point because of her massive rack, but she’s the new spokesperson for Kira. (I also didn’t catch her name… and I’m too lazy to go look it up…)

Light takes advantage of the situation (of course) and seduces his old flame in a hotel room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. I don’t know why the Eiffel Tower is in Tokyo… or if it’s just a replica… or if they went to Paris or whatever. Once again I was distracted by the massive rack. I just can’t help it. I have a weak spot for animated breasts.

I don’t know what Light is going to do about Misa, because he obviously has no use for her anymore. I assume he’s going to just dump her and it’s going to come back and bite him in the ass. That’s one of the despicable things about Light. He’ll use anyone (even sacrificed his own father) to get what he wants. What an ass. I know the series centers around Light, but I find myself hating the guy more and more and can’t wait till his eventual downfall.

I know I just kind of glossed over this episode, but not much really happened considering the fact that 50% of it was the back story of Mikami. Hopefully from now on we won’t get so much filler.
