Death Note: Confession E13
|
I wish I hadn’t started watching Death Note because I am completely hooked. |

It’s been a long time since I’ve really been into an anime series (probably not since Samurai Champloo), but I am completely hooked on Death Note. Despite some ridiculous elements (like Light and L going to school together…); the series, on average, is heads and shoulders above everything else out there. I’ve watched like 13 episodes in less than a week, which is impressive considering that I practically live at my office.
I do have to say that I was initially kind of let down by episode 13, but the more I think about it, the more it grows on me. For those of you that have been following the series, there’s a second person who possesses the same power that Light has. I think her name is Misa, but I’m too lazy to rewatch the episode to find out.

I really hate the cutesy shit that permeates through most anime and manga, and I was kind of worried when the character of Misa was introduced. She’s super KAWAAAAAAIIII and has that annoying voice that girls of that type have. (Why can’t we have more ladies in anime like Faye Valentine? I mean that was a real woman.) However by the end of episode 13 she kinda grew on me and I like the role that she’s shaping up to play.

Oh, and the scene where Light and Misa become boyfriend/girlfriend was really weird. I don’t want to give to much away, but it was right up there with the first Rocky/Adrian make out scene in terms of awkwardness. Light realizes that he could use Misa and Misa absolutely adores Light and would do anything that he wants her to do.
According to wiki, there’s going to be 37 episodes of the Death Note series. I’m going to have to fight off the temptation of starting the manga or watching any of the movies.
