Cream Collon
It has been a while since I have done one of my food reviews. It’s not that I haven’t thought about doing them; in fact, I’ve bought several items with the intentions of doing a little write-up… but I always seem to eat them before I get a chance to write about them. (I am a fat ass.)
I was at the Asian supermarket earlier today when something caught my eye: Cream Collon. At first glance, I thought it read “Cream Colon”, which would probably be the worst name for a snack ever. Hmmm… come to think of it, part of me wishes it was Cream Colon now. How could you not buy a snack called “Cream Colon”?

Here’s a picture of the box. Cream Collon is made by Glico, who’s probably most famous for keeping otakus from going hungry with the uberpopular Pocky. From the packaging it’s kind of hard to tell what Cream Collon is exactly. It kinda reminded me of those Combos snacks. Let’s see what Cream Collons are made of:
INGREDIENTS: SHORTENING, WHEAT FLOUR, SUGAR, GLUCOSE, LACTOSE, CONC. EGG, CREAM CHEESE POWDER, CORN SYRUP, CREAM POWDER, VEGETABLE FAT, SALT, LIQUEUR, SKIM MILK, SORBITOL, SOY LETCHIN, ARTIFICIAL FLAVOUR, BAKING POWDER, SOYBEAN.
Nothing out of the ordinary. I’m really glad it doesn’t contain any cancerous body parts or overpaid pitchers.

Opening up the outside packaging, we see that the Cream Collons are contained without a sealed bag. For freshness.

I’m also really fond of the box. It’s the perfect size and place to hide my Zack Morris erotic photoshops.
By the way, I hate that my webcam’s incompatible with Vista or else I’d be all up in this piece like back in the day. Don’t worry, I haven’t changed much over the past 7 years…

Even though it looks kind of underwhelming, Cream Collon smells fantastic. It’s hard to describe, but think graham crackers and fresh vanilla.
And now for the most important part. The taste test…
…
…
…
Wow. It’s really really good. Not too sweet. The outside is crunchy while the inside is soft and delish.
I’m gonna go ahead and recommend this one if you can get your hands on it. While there’s no real novelty value, it’s really tasty.
