Baby Vox Re.V: Never Say Goodbye
I was really excited when I saw that Baby Vox Re.V had a new video out, considering how ho-hum their last effort was. The original Baby Vox was one of my favorite Korean pop music acts and if Re.V could be half as good… well… I would have have a lot more fap material. Besides, the world of Kpop needs a big new female act to shake things up and who better this fab 5.
Unfortunately, the video for Never Say Goodbye does not deliver. We get a collection of scenes of girls being dumped by their boyfriends. In some ways it should be sad, but I think this video reflects how the public has rejected Baby Voices of Expression Renaissance Voices. We want our Kim EZs and our Kan Mi Youns God dammit, not this shitty bootleg version of a group we once held so near to our hearts.
Oh, and did the one scene in the autoplant remind anyone else of 8 Mile? Don’t you think it’s about time Baby Vox Re.V stops living up here… and starts living down here? they should definitely consider it since this video was so horrible. Other scenes include a guy getting slapped and another guy standing in the rain because he feels bad he broke a girl’s heart. You know, the typical shit that little Asian girls love so much.
I also noticed that the one bright spot from the Shee video, Myeong Sa Rang, was absent. Was it because of the whole ass shaking thing? I certainly hope not, but I can not be sure. For all we know she could be out destroying Tokyo or dunking a basketball.
But yeah, I was extremely disappointed with this video because I was so sure that Baby Vox Re.V’s sophomore effort would be great. Instead we got a video with so many cliches that the director could have just used a bunch of scenes from other videos and we wouldn’t have noticed.
