One of the best things about having a website is the fact that it’s an easy, and effective, way of reaching tons of people. Seriously, if I had been born in the 1920s, nobody would have ever seen any of my writings about censorship or fart fetishes…

Er… moving on…

There recently has been somewhat of a traffic boom here on popho. I would like to attribute it to the fact that I’ve actually been writing new posts for the site, but the truth is the new hits are all because I like to use the word “nude” and “naked” and “sex” in all of my articles. Whatever works, right?

I am still in a state of denial though. That being the case, I thought I’d do another quick video walk through. Today’s victim: Ashley Tisdale.

Some of you might know Ashley from her roles in various roles in Disney stuff like High School Musical or The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I, on the other hand, never even heard of the girl until her infamous nipple slip pictures were plastered all over the internet a few weeks ago. Seriously, what’s the big deal? It wasn’t even a good picture.

But I digress… on to the video…

0:00 - Before we begin, I just wanted to say that Ashley is a great example of a celebrity that’s using youtube to interact with her fans. Serious, check out her youtube site. She regularly creates videos and gives feedback and all of that mess. Other celebs and celeb-wannabes should take note.

0:03 - Is the intro music to this song from a Castlevania game?

0:08 - Say what you want about Ashley, but she is fucking HOT.

0:15 - Definitely blowing my mind with her assets.

By the way, Ashley isn’t so much singing as she is just saying words. Kind of like rapping… but not really. Check out the lyrics. I like her little shout out to Jessica Alba.

0:28 - This song should have been titled “Like That.” Also, is it just me, or does this sound like old school Neptunes?
Anyone?

Also, why do a lot of videos use this shot now? You know, the girl in the alleyway with a bright light shining on her. It’s like I trapped her with my car or something.

0:40 - She’s making my head strong. HAR HAR HAR!

1:04 - OooOoo wow. LG I think. You know, this is one area where Korean music videos were way ahead of the curve: basically every K-Pop video is a big long cell phone commercial. It’s getting to be that way for American music videos as well.

1:17 - It’s been mostly positive comments for Ashley so far, but there is one thing that she could really use some improvement on:

Her dancing.

It’s almost embarrassing to watch.

1:45 - Who’s the guy in the video? And why isn’t he all up in Ashley’s shit?

2:00 - More product placement. Man, Ashley’s like the Peyton Manning of teen divas.

2:18 - I can see me watching this video like that. Like that. See me drinking a brew like that. Like that. Writing shitty posts like that. Like that…

2:30 - Ashley is on fiyah. I don’t think she’s as good looking as Britney in her prime… but she’s definitely almost up there.

I had to look up how old Ashley was, and she was born in July 2, 1985. That doesn’t even qualify her as jailbait or teen anymore.

2:42 - I wish there was somewhat of a coherent plot to this video.

Verdict: I liked it. While she didn’t display any real singing ability, that’s never really important for a pop star anyway. She doesn’t have as much “umph!” as other ex-Disney stars like Britney or Christina when they debuted, but I see big things in store for her. Big things.
